Remo Caspi (Aspidosperma excelsum) root bark – 32 oz. (1 kg.) bulk powder. 

Preparations

Remo Caspi, one of largest trees of the Amazon, features many buttresses at its base. The root bark of the buttresses is taken in the form a tincture and traditionally prepared as a decoction. For the decoction, the suggested dosage is 1 cup, 3 times daily. 

To prepare a decoction of Remo Caspi, 1 tsp. of the powdered root bark is used for each 8 oz. of water. Using medium-high heat, bring water to a boil in an open ceramic pot and then add the powder. Reduce the heat to medium-low and place the lid on the pot. Allow the mixture to simmer for 20 minutes. Pour the mixture through a fine strainer and allow it to cool for a time before drinking. Refrigerate unused portions in a well- sealed container.
