Preparations
The leaves of Bellaco-Caspi is taken in the form of a tincture, decoction, and in capsules. Traditionally, the bark is prepared as a decoction taken at a suggested dosage of 1 cup, 2 times daily.
To prepare a decoction of Bellaco-Caspi, use 2 tsp. of the powdered leaves for each 8 oz. of water. In an open pot, bring water to a boil and then add the powder. Reduce the heat to medium-low and place the lid on the pot. Allow the mixture to simmer for 20 minutes. Pour the mixture through a fine strainer and allow it to cool for a time before drinking. Refrigerate unused portions in a well sealed container. One cup is taken 1 to 2 times daily.
