Avenca (Adiantum capillus-veneris) leaves 32 oz. (1 kg.) bulk powder.
Preparations
The leaves of Avenca are taken in the form of capsules, tinctures, and infusions. An infusion (tea) of the leaves is taken at a dosage of half a cup, 2 times daily.
To prepare an infusion, place 1 tsp. of the powdered leaves in a tea ball or gauze bag and allow it steep in 8 oz. of freshly boiled hot water in a covered pot for 1015 minutes. Pour the infusion through a fine strainer to remove any sediment and allow it to cool for a time before drinking.
