Preparations
Place 1/2 to 1 teaspoon in a cup to which you add 1-1/2 cups of boiling water. Steep for 6- to 12-minutes covered. You can strain the powder that doesn't dissolve through a cheesecloth or a metal strainer to remove some or all of the powder that doesn't dissolve or stir to suspend the powder from top to bottom and drink the tea so that you get everything the plant has to offer. As a rule of thumb, when taking and experimenting with an herb that is unfamiliar to you, start with small amounts.
