About Burdock Seed
The name Burdock comes from its protective seed covering or burr. This bi-annual plant with large leaves is very recognizable in its second year--the burrs were supposedly the inspiration for Velcro. Within the burr are the small seeds. They are oily, antibacterial, and traditionally used for skin conditions.
